New Painted Traffic Box at Farrington’s Grove Elementary

As part of the citywide project to paint traffic boxes, Farrington’s Grove Historical District, Inc. has been planning and organizing the painting of select traffic boxes in the neighborhood. We currently have two boxes painted!

The second box is located on Hulman and S. 6th Street, in front of Farrington’s Grove Elementary School. The box was painted by Terre Haute native, Aaron Dodd.

Dodd is “a busy father of five” ☺ and an active member of the arts community in Terre Haute. Dodd painted the traffic box at the Vigo County Public Library, and he designed and installed the 12 Points Meditation Garden for Illumination Wellness, as well as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Garden at reTHink, Inc. In addition, Dodd has taught classes at the School for Recovery Art at The Recovery Café of Terre Haute. Dodd says the goal behind all of his creative work is “to bring some color to Terre Haute while reminding people of the importance of creative expression and the power of conceptual value.”

Dodd and Farrington’s Grove Elementary School make a good team. Go Tigers!
