Architecture

Farrington’s Grove contains examples of nearly all the dominant house types and architectural styles of nineteenth and early twentieth-century Indiana. From elegant Victorian mansions to modest workers cottages, the homes of our neighborhood reflect the fine craftsmanship and stylish tastes of the people who built Terre Haute during its first century of existence.

Below are short guides to some of FGHD’s prominent architectural styles, as well as selected examples found throughout the neighborhood.
